some US equities I like

Did some researching for favorable stocks today. It is one of those things that I do as a casual hobby. Not that I like the United States publicly traded equity market all that much. One of those things that keeps me up on my 'game' while I wait until Sunday 4pm CST for Sydney to open. I chose the following portfolio as for diversity and growth (both fundamentally and technically).

I accept no personal responsibility if these individual stocks go down.

ABM Business Service 23.12
HCP Real Estate Investment Trust 36.07
EWM Malaysia Index Fund 9.33
GF New Germany Index Fund 14.18
SEE Packaging & Containers 63.11

(wait for pullback)
HXM Property Management 55.00

I apologize for the period of time between posts. Been occupied with the holiday season.

So far it is a 10.58% return. Which isn't too shabby if you were investing in a tax-free IRA. It looks like the 'cubes' in the middle of a bearish divergence. That is usually indicative of a 'correction' in the entire market. It also looks like the short term rates are going to be increasing soon. Even if the majority of the US thinks that it is time for lower rates (to stimulate the economy), the Fed is obligated to curb inflation. And you must realize if the US dollar becomes too undervalued, foreign capital will leave.

6 months later:

ABM 10.45%
HCP 19.6%
EWM 22.7%
GF 20.56%
SEE -50.54%
HXM 11.84%

average mean: 5.768%
average mean w/o SEE: 17.03%

Sealed Air Corp. really messed up what would have been amazing returns.
